About Me

My name is Haley Riviere. I am a sophomore at The University of South Alabama. I graduated in 2009 from Alma Bryant High School and I am from Grand Bay Alabama. I have two younger brothers who are in the 7th and 9th grade. I live with my parents and my brothers and our three dogs. I enjoy reading, cooking, and swimming. I am a full time student as well as a server at Cracker Barrel.
I am majoring in elementary education and I hope to teach upper elementary. I chose to pursue a career in teaching when I was very young. This was partly because of the positive influence and inspiration to succeed that I received from my elementary teachers. Also because I feel that education is a very important aspect in developing as a person and every child should receive an exceptional education. I chose Elementary as opposed to secondary education because I feel that I connect better with younger students and would prefer to teach an elementary class.

  1. You must stay busy at the Cracker Barrel. The one near our house (TimberCreek or Malbis I guess) is always busy!

  2. I think that Elementary is an good choice, because the earlier you start the impact would be greatly successful. I also chose the Elementary level, because I really don't think that I can deal with the attitudes and not wanting to learn, or wanting to learn when he/ she wants to learn. Your Elementary teacher must have been excellent, for you to want to pursue teaching at such a early age. I commend you working as a server, it was such a headache for me. I really hope you like south. I only been here for a year and I really enjoy going here minus the work, but I know at the end it will be all worth it.I know south has so much too offer so take advantage of it.
